Teach English in Vietnam and gain international teaching experience while living in a destination known for its rich history, world-famous food, and vibrant city life. Most teaching positions are in or around Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with opportunities in public schools and private language centers.
Teachers typically begin with a five-day orientation in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the classroom and daily life in-country. A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certification is required for this opportunity, and candidates who do not already have one may have the option to complete an in-person three-week TESOL course after orientation. Placements are then arranged in schools across Vietnam. Start dates are offered regularly throughout the year.
Candidates should generally be native English speakers, between ages 21 and 60, hold citizenship from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand, have a bachelor’s degree, and be mature, flexible, and open-minded. Additional health and vaccination requirements may apply depending on school placement.
