“There are all kinds of love in this world, but never the same love twice.”
– F. Scott Fitzgerald
The summer is wrapping up as we begin to make last minute plans to fit in all of the hopes and dreams of travel we formed in June. If you didn’t get the chance to travel and are feeling down on your luck, there is still time.
Take a few weeks off this Fall to study Spanish, Italian, German, or French while immersed in a new culture and staying with a local family. Not only will you gain valuable language skills that can be applied in the workplace, but also a new appreciation for the world. If you are feeling like giving back, check out one of our Volunteer Abroad programs like the project in Costa Rica where you will volunteer at an orphanage. Being a selfless traveler while appreciating the beauty of a new culture and landscape will change your perspective on life for the better.
The home town you love, your family, best friends, and your favorite coffee shop will be there waiting for you. Travel is the perfect opportunity to freshen things up, and realize that there is a whole world out there for you to fall in love with. Expanding your horizons will make your realize that your trivial annoyances are actually quite lovely, because they’re all yours. Coming home to the same old comforts is what will make your travels that much sweeter.
