I’m going to Korea!

I’m going to Korea!

Drum roll please, I’ve finally got my EPIK location, Geongbuk Providence. I won’t know what city I’m in until towards the end of my orientation. BUT that doesn’t matter because I’m going to KOREA.

I’m jam packed with things do here and there.

I leave Sunday, February 16th. That’s a total of 16 days away and I’m no where to being finished packing my entire life into two 50 lb bags.  I did a dry run last night, and it’s just not possible. I’ve been a valley girl my entire life. I’m a so cal girl to the core, how will I ever survive in a place the experiences all seasons versus here in LA were we experience two: hot and kinda warm kinda cold weather.

I got the grand news the 22nd after weeks of religiously checking my email all the time for any kind of status update.

I gave my two weeks notice at Kaiser already and my last day is the 12th, yea I’m cutting it pretty close. I guess one of the reasons that I’m staying so late to my fly out date is to make as much extra cash as I can before I leave. I hope that they won’t freak out too much trying to find a replacement for me. I mean I’m good at what I do.

Today, I went downtown to get my visa at the Korean embassy, and took the rest of the day off to tie up a few loose ends. Or mainly just to take a second to breathe. I haven’t been able to just sit and do nothing. I’m always running off to buy something, because I have this strange feeling that I’m forgetting something.

The next two weeks is going to be kinda crazy, I have a few days off from work before my last day to do things. Doctors appointments, dentist, my taxes, going away meals with this person and then with that person. There just isn’t enough time.

I only told a few people, not the entire world. This was for one main reason, I was worried that I wasn’t going to get in. Simple. I’ve been disappointed before and I didn’t want to tell everyone why I wasn’t in Korea if I didn’t get accepted. But those people that I did tell, I’m so grateful for them, to have them on my side, having them supporting me, it means the world to me. So, here’s just a few collections of my favorite people standing by my side (in no particular order of course):

So much more to come, till next time my lovely’s.

xoxo
